A Reflection Throughout The Year
Just wow. I’ve
never been this present of my life. The endless open gratitude I praise to the
Lord for every good and bad things that had happened to me, the anticipated and
the unexpected.
Times flies so
fast and so slow. Here we are almost at the end of 2023. I thought to
myself I think I want to write down things I learn this year, tell
people inspiring books that have moved me. This is a good idea, that’s
why I’m here again on my abandoned blog.
There are a
lot of lessons that theoretically I’ve read and heard before, but just realized
how true they are after I experience and practice them for real like consistency,
discipline, patience. I practiced them a lot this year, especially
when I’ve started to be more serious in pursuing certain personal and
professional goals.
Yet the
utterly insane I learn this year is how I manage to be unapologetically
unbothered and be myself completely. At first, I practice it to be more present
and more grateful. Somehow I stop comparing myself with others and just do my
own business to a degree that I am complete. Back then I could say I
don’t care when I actually care. But today, it’s just meh. I have
so much to accomplish, I have things to focus on, everything else that doesn’t
relevant to my goals I just cut it off.
While that
might sound selfish, but what’s happening is a truly self-relieve from society
and their noises that contribute to an ultimate peace of mind. A calm
mind.
A calm mind helps me to think crystal clear about what I do really want to do in life. I figure out what to the point I found my niche and commit to strive in it. While I know what I need to do, I become more focus on it and discover things I need to improve. During this process, that’s when I learn discipline, consistency, and patience.
To sum up,
what I learn in 2023:
- discipline
- patience
- consistency
- mindfulness
- focus
- being unbothered, and
- being unapologetic
